The Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS) is a South Asian regional think tank, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Established in 1992, it is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization which encourages research, dialogue, networking and deliberation on a broad range of conventional and non-conventional sources of conflict and conditions of peace.

SECRETARY GENERAL OF SAARC DESIGNATE VISITS RCSS

Ambassador Esala Weerakoon, who will be the 14th Secretary General of SAARC with effect from 1st March 2020, visited RCSS on the 3rd of February, 2020.

The RCSS Executive Director, Prof. Gamini Keerawella and Ambassador Weerakoon had a stimulating discussion on moving the SAARC process forward.

The possibility of having closer collaboration and joint activities between RCSS and the SAARC Secretariat in promoting regionalism was also discussed.
